Dr. Chandrasekar, a Padma Shri Awardee, is an internationally renowned Interventional Gastroenterologist and the Founder & Chairman of MedIndia Hospitals, Chennai. He has been honoured with the Honorary Distinguished Professorship of The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and as a nominated Member of the State Advisory Board on Disability, Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled, Government of Tamil Nadu. He had served as the Hon. National President of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (2016-17) and as an International Committee Member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (2017-21).
