Medlndia Research Foundation (MEDREF), is a not-for-profit trust promoted by Medlndia Hospitals. MEDREF has been set up with the objective of conducting basic medical research with a focus on Gastroenterology. MEDREF shall lay emphasis on Hepatitis B & C, silent digestive diseases and Gastrointestinal Cancers for taking up Epidemiological Studies, Statistical Analysis and Parasitic infection patterns, preventive aspects of communicable and non communicable diseases.
MEDREF shall be providing services such as "Reaching the Unreached" through Telemedicine Services, Healthcare Education, Communication and Training through Social Outreach Programs.
Objectives of Medlndia Research Foundation
- Research into biological, social and psychological aspects of Hepatitis B & C and G.I. Cancers and other Digestive Diseases.
- Treatment and rehabilitation of people suffering from Hepatitis B & C and G.I. Cancers and prevention/reduction of productivity.
- Community outreach programs in urban slums and rural villages to offer treatment and improve awareness about Hepatitis B & C and G.I. Cancers.
- Training programs to various groups of health workers on principles of detection and management of Hepatitis B & C and G.I. Cancers.
